WHERE DO I PARK?
The parking lot is a gated large open field located in front of the Centenary Hospital entrance. Our clinic is on the ground floor next the hospital entrance. The parking is provided free of charge for clinic patients.
Can I get my Annual Examination, PAP smear, PSA, Mammogram, Fecal Occult Blood Test, Cholesterol level, Routine vaccination, Driver’s license, etc. done at the clinic?
CAHC is strictly an after hours clinic, and clinic physicians do not provide “on-going” comprehensive medical care. The physicians at CAHC neither perform routine procedures such as Pap smears, breast examinations, vaccinations, etc., nor psychotherapy, counseling, annual health examinations, etc. These types of services are better performed in a family practice setting by comprehensive care physician providers.
CAN I GET A SICK NOTE FILLED AT THE CLINIC?
Our clinic physicians usually do provide sick notes, return to work notes, and other simple forms whenever possible. However, the physicians may not always have the time or information needed to complete more complicated forms. Our physicians reserve the right to refuse all notes or forms. The clinic charges a fee for all notes and forms based on guidelines set by the Ontario Medical Association.
CAN I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT IN ADVANCE?
CAHC does not triage patients and services are provided on a “first come, first serve” basis. Special cases may be booked in advance by member or treating physicians only. Due to high demand for the walk-in services, the clinic physicians are only able to address one immediate problem per patient per visit.
WHERE DO I FIND A NEW FAMILY PHYSICIAN?
You may locate a new family physician by using Yellow Pages, asking a friend or relatives if their family physicians accept new patients or go to College of Physician and Surgeon website. Please note that many physicians at East GTA FHT are accepting new patients, please click here.
CODE OF EXPECTED CONDUCT FOR CLINIC PATIENTS:
Our clinic is a private after hours walk-in clinic, not a department nor part of the Centenary Hospital. Our physicians and staff are aimed to provide quality, caring, and efficient after hours services. We expect our patients to follow the acceptable social codes when requesting our services. Our clinic staff and physicians reserve the right to refuse the treatment to people showing any rude, loud, and disrespectful behaviors to other patients, staff, and physicians. Such patients will be escorted away from our clinic by the hospital security or the police.
